Nucleus implants manufactured by the Australian Cochlear Ltd are not only made for hearing, they offer communication. Thus the people with severe and profound hearing loss are able to hear and talk in a much better way.
Nucleus devices have been distributed in Hungary by Amplifon Kft since 2000. Yearly 40-50 implantations are carried out in the country financed by the National Health Insurance Fund. 70% of all cochlear implant recipients in the world are using Nucleus.
Cochlear is the world leader of implant technology, by now more than 1000 clinics in 78 countries use these products and the number of recipients is more than 80.000.
